The starting point for any open badge is the badge graphic and within openbadges.me you can design your own badge graphics or upload a graphic you have already designed.
With the openbadges.me built-in badge designer you can create a wide range of colourful and exciting badges, with each badge being built up with a number of different layers. Each of the layers allows you to add a different element to your badge, for example, shapes, banners, text and images.
A badge graphic cannot be larger then 20mb. It must be of file type PNG or JPEG. All graphics compressed to a display size of 300 x 300.
A badge graphic has a status, that controls how it can be managed and used within openbadges.me:
- Draft: In a draft state a graphic can be edited and amended.
- Published: A published graphic is available for use within the badge definition process. It is no longer editable and cannot be amended.
- Withdrawn: A withdrawn graphic is no longer available for use within the badge definition process. At any point it can be republished.
